I Can’t Believe it’s Not a Brain

I supervised another exam today at my work, only a small class though. A class of 5 very yum guys. I got to sit there and watch them for 2 hours PLUS get paid for it!

I was looking in a software shop near my work today as well, and there’s a guy in there who is the spitting image of David Duchovny. I don’t know about you, but getting served in a computer store by someone who looks like they’re from the X-Files? The novelty just does not end.

I also made the dire mistake of having McDonalds for breakfast today with a girl from work, who is officially the most naive person in the world. Conversation as we ate this morning:

Miss Niaveity (picking at her scrambled eggs): These eggs taste really funny.
Me: What, you expected something on a silver platter from Macca’s?
Miss Niaveity: They don’t really taste like eggs at all.
Me: Of course they don’t. They’re ‘I Can’t Believe It’s Not Eggs’.
Miss Niaveity: Really? Wow.
Me: (sighs)

I was talking about my numb finger in yesterday’s entry. Well, it’s still not any better, so I went to the doctor today. He was useless, and he looked like Mal Colston too. He sort of touched my finger a bit and goes “oh, well it’s too hard to see what it is. Do you have a doctor where you live? Maybe go see him.” (I looked on the Medicare form I filled out – he got paid $22.50 for just saying that). So I still really am untreated! I may as well have gone in with something bizarre to complain about, like “my neighbours are always holding noisy parties” or “this CD I bought second hand keeps skipping”. Maybe even something like “I never rang those 0055 numbers on my Telstra bill” or “That new Keanu Reeves film is awful”.
