Today at work the telephone system was down for half an hour. It was fantastic. We actually got work done.
Of course one of the reception girls had to ask:
Reception Bimbo #1: Shouldn’t we ring up and find out what’s going on?
Me: Yeah. In fact I’m just ringing them up on my COMPLETELY UNFUNCTIONING phone right now.
One of the other people who works here was actually making a call when the lines went down.
Stupid Staff Member: What? The phone’s gone dead…
Me: Looks like they’ve gone down I guess.
Stupid Staff Member: It must’ve been that last dirty phone call I made.
Me: Are you that boring?
